No way....Last thing Colorado needs is a guy with that image at their school.

They are in serious PR hell, they will not hire a Davis, GOL, or Price. Anyone with a history of anything is out the window right now. They will hire a coordinator.

Joe,

Sounds like you had no clue that it was DAVIS that helped clean up Miami!

What better person to help and try to turn Colorado's image around.

CU AD said he had a "star" name..and someone who would "knock the socks" off to recruits, boosters, fans, etc....

I would put Butch in that category.

If so...that would be a GREAT hire for CU.

KL

PS. Of course not everything at Miami was Peace, Love, and Happiness under Davis...but considering what he had to go thru with probation...he turned them around so much that Coker just "walked" the team to a National Title the year he left.

Davis didn't necessarily 'clean-up' Miami, Miami was on probation during his tenure, and he was forced to be more prudent with the program during that tenure.  He actually had as many off-the-field incidents as Jimmy or Dennis in the 80's and 90's, but more got swept under the rug because of the concern of more NCAA scrutiny.

Davis' program at UM wasn't squeaky clean, I don't know where anyone is getting this from?

unfortunately, a large majority of the people on this message board are not fans of people/things that they dont relate to.  its unfortunate because not everyone comes from the white-picket fences and milk-and-cookie societies as these fans on the message board, specifically those people who wear USF gear and take the field on saturdays.  why do these fans have to place a negative connotation on these people/programs that do not relate to them?  i have no idea, this world is filled with people who arent alike.  bad stuff happens at every program, its the nature of this world-- hell, i'm sure things go on with harvard's football team that we dont know of, as well as notre dame's-- but it is the PERCEPTION that gets people in trouble-- which is unfortunate

pretty much ANY college football program has had some behavior problems.  you are dealing with 17-21 year old kids who for the most part don't come from areas that good decision making is common.

USF has had its few stumbles in just 9 short years too.  Miami gets the bad rap because of the spotlight on them.

i am not comparing us to miami because that is no way the case.  Butch Davis is a good guy and would be a good hire for the Buffs.  besides....holding 1 man responsible for the actions of 90-110 kids is insain

I shouldn't go saying what I said about Davis, but he is nowhere near clean. The reason his program looked so clean was because of teh near death penalty Miami got in the mid 90s

I was born and raised in Carol City Miami rooting for the Canes and can tell you that Davis did not run a clean program, Bien is correct it was swept under the rug. I have no idea what the f*c* Emory is but that does not mean I can not relate, stick to topics where you have at least a little bit of knowledge.
