or at best, when you are trying to SELL YOUR TEAM to alumni and community who were there to watch basketball.

I do understand where you're coming from about representing to the community BUT Saturday they were among their own Bull faithful, for the most part, and there was no need to sell to anybody. Those there, outside of the UM fans, should ALREADY be sold on Bulls football.

i LOVE the thug-image of our program.. let them wear whatever they want, in fact the more bling the better.  there is nothing better than watching a USF football game and having the camera shoot over to the sidelines only to show a player open his mouth wide open, revealing an entire gold-plated grill.  this is america, let them do whatever they want (as long as its not against the law).  wearing suits with shaven faces and gell in hair is only to impress corporate america-- well i say screw 'em.  they arent there to impress anyone, they are there to win.  if their thug-image can get in the heads of those suburban prep boys standing on the other sidelines and getting them scared, the more the game is won before kickoff

They are the kind of guys that you would be scared to meet in a dark ally.  As has been said before, they have no discipline on the field, why would anyone expect them to act or look civilized when they represent the university.

    I agree they SHOULD be already sold.  But, many aren't.  If you have been to any Men's B-Ball games, (I am not sure where you are geographically), they have been pushing the Bowl game left and right.  Trying to get people to buy tickets.  Unfortunately, with the way ticket sales have been, we can't afford to assume people will just know....we need everyone in attendance, even those who had to be sold at a mens b-ball game.  Thankfully, this won't always be the case.

and CEE, corporate america is mostly what funds our little program and all of the BCS and college football in itself.  So before we say screw you, maybe we should find some "thugs" to pay for the sport we all enjoy, since that is all you think our players relate too.

I'll never understand why people have such a problem with expecting athletes to be presentable. This is college and that means kids are suppose to be learning how to live as an adult in an adult world. Imagine walking into a board room looking like thugs. They may be comming from the hood but unless the goal is to keep them there they should be learning to grow up.
