This dude just put in his pick for the game, has WKU by less than a touchdown in a shootout. Thinks both defenses are weak.

Well, we know he's at least half right.

This is a must win on the road to respectability.

If we win I am driving around with the flag and the whole nine.

I would say WKU, UAB are stretch games and if we can win one of these it's almost a lock to bowl

I also picked UAB to go to.  It seems like it could be a turning point for the season.   When the clunkiness could potentially come off at the right time.

So in the words of John Madden "the team that scores the most points wins ."

Thanks again @WadeAllen for the tips.  One more question...is beer sold at Topper Town?  What's the deal with that?  Heading up a week from today.  Let's GO BULLS!

I think the only place you can buy a beer will be in the stadium.   There will be plenty of beer in red solo cups in all the tailgate areas.  When I was in school the campus was completely dry and if tailgating you would have to somewhat hide your beverage of choice.  Now it is pretty much in the open.  I would just bring a cooler in your car and pack a few roadies for your walk around to the game.  You will see a lot of red solo cups and even just drinking in the open.  You should be fine - just don't over advertise too much that you are drinking - but again it will not be an issue.

I doubt there will be much of a crowd.  If the students hang around - which is unlikely due to long holiday weekend - the atmosphere will be better.  Who knows - our fans are fair-weather for the most part.    First game of the season so who knows.  My gut says you cover the 13.5 and have a 50/50 of a win.  We have a tendency to underperform in first game.

Head for shaded seats in your section.  The sun will be hitting you guys directly.  Get water early - our concessions tend to be slow, understaffed and will run out of water by the 3rd quarter.

I will be the guy drinking bourbon - if you see me - say hello...:)

Cheers.

We can lose this and still be on track for a bowl IF and only if we take care of business against the presumably "weaker" teams on the schedule.

FAMU, Rice, Charlotte, Temple = 4 wins

On the fence teams: UConn (turning it around last year), Navy, FAU = if we can get 2 out of these 3, we are bowling

I would say WKU, UAB are stretch games and if we can win one of these it's almost a lock to bowl.

Memphis Bama and UTSA will be the big tests.

Uab has like 7 returning starters kinda like us…..i think our coaching hire is much much better, this is a win in my book
