Not only are they the worst in the NFL. They were the worst in all of the big 4 for a long time.

I guess it's how you want to define "worst franchise". There are 12 franchises who have never won a Super Bowl, with 4 who haven't even been to one ...... but if one wants to define it by overall W/L records, it's their prerogative  You probably think that Chuck was a better coach here than Willie because he has a better W/L record.

Yes.  I have gone back and grabbed some of those old archived articles but you have to have a membership to do so.

To play Devil's advocate, the success in the late 90s/early 2000s and the Brady era do a lot of heavy lifting for a franchise that's spent 21 of 48 seasons finishing last, another 7 finishing 2nd to last. Historically speaking they're twice as likely to finish last or second to last (28 times) as they are to finish with a winning record (14). I don't think simply having two Super Bowls would put them, as a franchise, above some like, say, the Minnesota Vikings, who have a storied history but just haven't been able to close the deal for the Lombardi.

With that said, there are certainly worse franchises that have been around longer and accomplished less (IMO).
