Not sure if it was a Big East requirement, but we did say that we would upgrade our facilities if we were invited.

Some seem to be missing the point. The point isn’t that Bianchi had something remotelypositive to say about USF.  He’s a writer for the Orlando Sentinel!   He has spent 20 years saying great things about UCF. This time he goes as far enough as to wish some success on USF again for the betterment of UCF.

He doesn’t bother to try to pretend to be unbiased by being a snarky little writer.  He advocates for the town whose fans he serves.

Yes, we SHOULD have had a rivalry with Miami, UFvFSU is a natural and we could have evolved the USFvMia into a good one, that never happened and no matter what people say, USFvUCF was a good rivalry. The crap part was that the whole time that we were competing, we knew it was for a P5 spot, therefore it made losing to them even worse. IF we were both in the B12, the rivalry would “feel” different because we would both be in the P5 competing for meaningful conference championships and playoff spots, not our CFB survival.

I am misremembering the game... I thought it was Mike White that played at Miami.  Games back then have blurred together.

Mike was a good QB, just didn’t fit in our system, always helps to be able to run like hell with our blocking.

True however historically our offensive line struggles and recently our D line has stunk it up as well, you win or lose in the trenches and we have been getting our teeth kick in.
