Oddsmakers would say that in the last couple weeks our chance at obtaining "the conference we want", even generally, has decreased.

I disagree.  Oddsmakers would say the chance has generally, if marginally, increased.

Didn't do any math, but for instance, the 3 teams from the AAC which earned invites to join the B12 all had/have sizable stadiums in their markets, and they each built on-campus stadiums and/or have invested heavily in renovations/upgrades. Sure it was just coincidence though.

Yes correlation does not equal causation, can you think of no other reason besides a stadium why the B12 would have selected UC, UH and UCF over us? Two of the three have black as a school color and two of the three have red as a school color, should we change our colors to black and red to maximize our chances at being selected by the B12? What membership number do you think the B12 is going to willing to get to in order to include us once they are convinced by the creation of a 32k person stadium?

Agreed! I do believe this is as close USF is to getting an invite to one of the P5  as ever before. We just need a few more dominoes to break USF’s way

The B12 went from being the most likely to being 0%, there is never a time when being passed up and having fewer landing spots is valued as advantageous.

B12 was not really going to consider USF after Harlan’s crew made those spelling errors on the application. USF has a better chance at an ACC or PAC invite imo

You let me know when a university tears down it's OCS because they can use another one that is off-campus. That will be the litmus test for acceptable stadiums within a short distance from campus. As far as I know, it's never happened. Only the opposite, which is despite having stadium infrastructure nearby - universities over time have all invested in their own. And USF will be no different.

EDIT: I think SDSU might have? That might be the only case.

PUC I hope you are one of the first to apologize to MK after he gets USF into a P5 conference

In every scenario, even Colorado and their losing record, being aggressive seems to be paying off. Being passive, from USF and the old BE to todays PAC12, has failed miserably.

The spelling errors were meant to demonstrate that we could actually be a good cultural fit despite the on paper disparities, code switching if you will.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
