Someone please tell me why we shouldn't be concerned about this.  Still hoping this is just a rubber stamp and Lamb has everything he needs to sail this through.

Also, what is the value in waiting (until later) to get BOG approval?  It seems that the positive spin would be nice right now.

I really think the stadium is 100 percent happening. USF administration understands that pulling back now would be a major blow and disappointment to the fan base. No going back at this point.

I think it would be the last straw for me if they punked out on the stadium plans.  I'll always root for USF athletics, but its not like I can't walk up to any game and buy tickets at the gate.  I am holding on to my season tickets assuming I have a guaranteed seat in this new stadium of ours.

Enjoy the waiting gang.  It is part of the process.

Agenda for next Tuesdays BOT meeting went up.

on page 97: “Project approved by USF board of trustees in June and being considered for approval by Florida board of governors in August. If approved, project is anticipated to open July 2026”

see they meet August 18th at JP Morgan in Manhattan, then end of August at UF

way that’s worded makes it sound like it may be the last approval we need…

I like the July 0f '26....may have been there all along, but would not want a midseason opening like the IPF.  Let's get it done and ready for the full advantage!

From what I read of the agenda there, it seems like that's  just Brian Lamb and one other meeting with folks on a national level to discuss legislative priorities. The end of August meeting is the one we're eyeballing and assuming they approve the debt issuance, that would (I believe) be the last step before the project is fully green lit.

Or Raymond James for that matter... since the Bucs had to have the first game -- so USF played Slippery Rock and Valparaiso at the Old Sombrero to open 1998.
