It's funny to me that Arizona State still has not figured you the shade issue.   The high lately has been 117...by kickoff in August/early September it will still be a blazing sun and over 100.

A few years ago they were going to put a cover over the stadium, made up of some type of fabric, but I think that got derailed.

So while everyone wants shade, it's really going to take some creative thinking and $$$ to provide it (in some places).

Probably the best seats in the ASU house is the seats from the mountain

Neither am I but the athletic department told us we are building something special and state of the art. From ground breaking of the stadium and being to ready to playing three seasons is very fast considered it hasn't been approved yet officially with designs and construction contracts. and it is going to be rushed  is it going to be the crown jewel or the next ucf stadium erector set style of college football stadiums ?

Yeah. I mean they said 340. Million but I am sure they meant erector set

It's not just possible ... they don't even need 24 months - some recent college football stadiums:

UAB: Broke ground December 18, 2019 -- Opened October 2, 2021

South Alabama: Broke ground August 6, 2018 -- Opened September 12, 2020

Colorado State: Broke ground September 14, 2015 -- Opened August 5, 2017

Tulane: Broke ground January 28, 2013 -- Opened September 6, 2014

Houston: Broke ground February 8, 2013 -- Opened August 29, 2014

Baylor: Broke ground September 15, 2012 -- Opened August 31, 2014

Charlotte: Broke ground April 28, 2011 -- Opened August 31, 2013

North Texas: Broke ground November 21, 2009 -- Opened September 10, 2011

Baylor is by far the nicest of those stadiums. Colorado State ,UAB, and Tulane are decent but not anything that blows you away. So it is possible and I hope we have a state of the art stadium as advertised. Not like the other letdowns USF Athletics have done in the past many times.

Is there another option?  I can could explain further the letdowns but anyone that follows USF and the coaching search knows the most recent opsie.

Yeah I was thinking we just go on a posting strike until the stadium is ready. That way you won’t have to remind us of everything you’ve reminded us of.

Populous designed McLane, so I’m hoping that we get something similar to it.
