All I got from the article is that it isn't technically on campus.

Wow. Hopefully it is at least within walking distance from campus or they are doing it wrong lol

It isn't on their main campus... but SDSU owns the land and are building a 'campus' around the stadium.

Cool. I’m sure they did their research. Glad USF decided to build their OCS on their main campus

Snapdragon stadium is not within walking distance from the main campus.  It's on an auxillary campus over 4 miles away.  About a 90 minute walk and a 10 minute drive crossing a couple interstates.

Today's TBT article.  Strange the only building not identified in the rendering is the YC.  Looks like the dome was built for beach vollyball.

An on-campus home for the Bulls is closer than ever after a virtual meeting Tuesday.

So USF just needs to put a building next to Ray Jay and say its on campus. Just incorporate the HCC campus across the street and we're done. 😜

Hmm. You might be onto something. How much do green seat covers and labor to install them before games? $340 million should cover my lifetime i would assume.

Interesting that there is a contingency plan in place just in case we don’t get a seat at the big boys table; sounds like there is not an agreement on expansion if we build first. We better start winning, haha.

Same thing here in Raleigh for NC State... and there are no academic buildings near the stadium. Just a couple of arenas and the state fairgrounds.

The debt is partially funded through ticket sales... so my guess is the "contingency" is only  if ticket sales don't reach projections for whatever reason, not specifically because USF doesn't get an invite.

That is a good point regarding NC State’s stadium. I went to that road trip and stayed at the hotel next to the stadium. I just walked to the game which was good for me but bad for NC State. The point is that I didn’t spend any time on their campus so I basically didn’t spend money on any businesses on or around campus. You can ask me how NCSU’s campus looked and i honestly could not answer lol

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
