October will start moving the recreation fields and campus recreation maintenance/storage to the other side of campus.  Until those are complete, the existing rec fields will be used.

Wonder if the groundbreaking ceremony will be in October or June then. I think for the IPF we had the groundbreaking ceremony before clearing all that land and setting the foundation for construction so it could be October.

But that would mean we'd need renderings by then, don't think I've ever seen a groundbreaking ceremony without a picture of whats being built.

I just hope the bonds have a variable interest rate cause man o man this is a horrible time to borrow money. Jerome Powell needs to help us out and drop those **** rates before these bonds get issued.

The document said fixed at 4%, I think.

True. The ceremony can take place earlier... although I don't recall the time being that far off for the IPF.  (Could be misremembering)

For the IPF we did the groundbreaking ceremony on September 9th 2021. I believe this is when Weatherford first announced we were going to build a stadium.

Then it wasn't until December 2nd that year that we event started removing the turf that was on the practice field site that is now the IPF

I work for my hometown and we had a groundbreaking for a major road widening in March. Actual road construction won't start until next fall (2024), and even the necessary utilities work still hasn't started 2 1/2 months later.

If they're operating like almost every other government entity, they'll hold the groundbreaking ceremony in October, especially with it being in the middle of football season.

Are we getting a medicine man to break the burial ground curse before we break ground ?I think this needs to be priority one.
