Some people have it all!

Also, in terms of steepness, can someone explain the science about why that would create more noise? I am assuming that it is because it would be a wall of sound as opposed to a shorter wall of sound if it was a gentle slope?

The stadium will be so flo slime colored.

The Notre Dame stadium felt very steep.  The few times the fans erupted it was indeed a wall of sound.  It felt oppressive, not sure how to explain it.

Three reasons I can think of 1) steeper means closer and distance is bad for power 2) steeper means more direct lines where sound doesn’t have to pass through people as people are better at absorbing sound than they are at bouncing it 3) steeper means that when sound gets to the other side it bounces back more towards the sound then it  does with and increased angle

No!  We are finally embracing tradition again.

Only somewhat related re: sound, when we took a tour of Lambeau Field the group spent time up near the top of the stadium in one of the end zones. The guide had our group (50 - 100 people maybe it's been a while) yell out Go Pack Go. Stadium was empty but the sound reverberated like you wouldn't believe.  Can't imagine what that place is like during a game.

I think that would be a pretty cool place to check out a game except for the whole Packer thing

100%, great post. Steep, dense, noisy people is the recipe for home field advantage.

If you post 19k times eventually something has to be not horrible, I've only had to worry about reducing noise and usually how can I absorb it, how can I open up the space to be less enclosed and how can I deflect it up to then be absorbed are the the answers.
