I can't believe we are demanding expansion when we can't even fill the lower bowl of RJS. Get it built. Get the revenue to cover it. Get the conference invite. Then we worry about stadium expansion. At this point, "capable of expanding" and "know how we'll expand when necessary" mean that it's been thought about and included in the design. There is no world where USF should be building a larger stadium at this point. Sell out 35k for a few seasons, oversubscribe the season ticket allotments, put some opponents on the schedule that travel well and will demand more tickets, get our revenue in order - then expand (and have renderings done for the announcement).

I know.  One thread has conversations about how we might get passed up by the BIG since our (planned) stadium doesn't have the capacity they would require to join.  Another thread is about how we won't come close to filling the lower bowl vs FAU, and another one is about how we may get slaughtered by FAU.  Saturday can't come soon enough.  Need to get back to winning.

100% - seriously a beer should be less than $10.

Any large project like a new OCS, a new college/degree program, a new investment by the university, should always, every single time, shoot for accolades.  Doesn't have to be "the biggest", "the most advanced", etc., just has to be SOMETHING relevant to the fans/alumni.  If we rolled out the new OCS with "the cheapest beer prices in all of college football", then people will talk about USF for weeks. We would be brought up in alumni meetings across the US and AD's would be sick of us. And not to mention - the cheapest beer in college football is still probably in the neighborhood of $7.50/beer. Yuengling and Cigar City would sell a bajillion of them, without having to fret over crazy distribution costs.

I know we have some very smart people spearheading the stadium project, but total cost (time + money + health) of attendance for consumers is a huge issue for sporting events in fringe fanbase/sized cities. Look at the Rays. Then look at the Lightning. Who would we rather be? The Lightning's beer prices weren't $16/beer until we went to the playoffs a few times and won the Cup and sold out every home game. Hope we take note.

/rant over a rhetorical post lol

I will be happy to pay $11 beers as long as it is going towards USF not the Glazers lol

Why not put a brewery in the stadium? Get the senate to make it a special taxing district to cut out distributor costs for in stadium sales. And USF already has a brewery degree.
