All of this is off-topic anyway. Let’s get back to the thread topic of the OCS. Apologies everyone. There better be some good overhangs and super-powered personal air conditioners for every seat, powered by solar panels, wind mills, or hamster wheels!

Thank you.

Explain to me now why you can't buy property insurance from an actual insurance company in Florida?

If you want an answer, I'll gladly break this out into another thread ...

Well maybe this is on topic. Because apparently other people building stadiums are taking climate change into consideration. And climate change is why you can't buy property insurance from a private company in Florida.

THEHILL.COM

To stay in Oakland, the A’s have to build on the bay — but what about sea level surges, as well as earthquakes and chemical pollution?

Our ocs will not be located where we have to worry about sea level surges, earthquakes or chemical pollution ...... please just stop.

Australia has a heat problem too.  "..as Australian summers become more prone to extreme heat conditions, sustainable and climate-adaptable stadium design has become a leading consideration for both sporting codes and governments".

This is the last climate change post of this thread.

I think the ocs is safe from a storm surge...

Would the ocs help with attendance to a game versus rice like yesterday? They said 29,000  fans were there but i thino that is by tickets sold. As people have pointed out already playing rice doesn't move interest to attend to anyone that is not a diehard usf fan. When we play bigger teams people show up.

I'm guessing, hoping there'd have been more students there ... and it's not about Rice. We've been down to the diehards, for the most part except for select games, for the last 4 or 5 years.

I am with you. Hopefully we can put together a few wins to cook up interest before the fau game.  I'm bringing one extra person with me at least. A guy posted the student tickets sold/ran out but it did not look like that at all .

This is the last climate change post of this thread.P

It's summer for 90% of the year in Florida! Wtf. Is it too woke to discuss if the stadium will get LEEDS Certification, which will mean it HAS to take for into account climate change and protecting the players and spectators health?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
