Got it .... was more of a technical look than a purty picture.

It was more a schematic plan from above so yea I couldn't tell if shade was involved either. The layout from above did look somewhat like the FAUs stadium.

Also it orientation was east to west.

Correct.  At second look, they were referred to as "construction plans" not a "rendering" of what such construction might lead to.

But, for @jjlovecub, you'll be happy to know there is a "Complaints Desk" in the Northeast corner of the mezzanine level.  Come join us!   :roflmao:

Ugh why are they putting it in the Northeast corner of the mezzanine level??

The Rays are expected to announce the completion of a deal for a new stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Tuesday, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times.

Their 30,000 seat DOMED stadium will cost $1.2 billion compared to our $340 million 35,000 seat open stadium.

We aren't a professional sports team but is it the roof that is costing an extra $860 million or are we not building to the same level of quality that is necessary for an MLB team? Besides the roof, where does the price difference come from do you think?

P.S. They should have moved the stadium to Tampa -- just my opinion.

Huge fail to not be in Ybor.  Hope we're not competing for non-illegal immigrant labor and materials.  The timeline could affect both projects' opening.

Unlike the Rays' new baseball stadium, the OCS will (finally) be in the right location.
