Not sure the number of games matter.  Why are more fans of college teams allegedly no longer going to stadium, yet more fans of an NFL team are going to stadium?

Wasn't there another part to my response? And I think I ended it with a question mark as it was a guess. But the other part IIRC was about younger generations not having the attention span to sit thru games and would rather play video games. Again just guessing.

True... but this is also a members-only club available year round for events.

Interesting!  That's a cool idea to get use out of it.

The attention span is a factor but they also report losing hope. purpose, and social cohesion.  They are the most online generation, but don't actually know how to communicate with other people on a person to person level.  That's why there is a the phrase "touch grass" now because people will literally scroll their phones all night and get a warped perception of what the world is like.

Our 12 year old grandson will play a little basketball and flag football but has absolutely no interest in watching games on TV or live. Our daughter will take him to a game or two but he's in it for the popcorn and ice cream.

Just my 2 cents, but IF the game and atmosphere were actually FUN, I think more students and fans would begin to attend. But, it must be on a consistent basis. And no, 1 or 2 years is not consistent.

A winning team that is relevant can change everything.  I'll never forget Leavittown and all the students camping all night to get student tickets.  If we are winning, and it is fun, students will be there.  People are herd animals.  Once it becomes the "thing to do," and the "place to be," there will be more demand for student seats than there are tickets.

To be fair, popcorn and ice cream are fantastic.
