That is great news. 35k is perfect for now errr 2026. History lesson to all you kiddos. Does anyone remember how small Gainesville OCS was when they first started?? Give you a hint they didn’t have endzone seating

35k seems small cause students and opposing fans will take a chunk of that. Especially if this team is winning by then...I'd start at 40k seats.

I agree. 40,000 seems like a much better number. I would be curious the cost differential to go from a 35,000 seat stadium to a 40,000

35k seats, with a huge berm in one endzone and enough standing room only to allow 40k capacity seems like the perfect compromise.

30-35k will feel like a full house and it'll be easy to have a great atmosphere to get students to keep coming back. But then for big games we could accommodate the extra demand

I also agree now.  The extra 4,000 to 5,000 "seats" could just be a grass hill with bleachers and a large concourse at the top of one of the end zones. That entire endzone could just be sold general admission/SRO.  I like how Navy's worked...

Students, the band, opponents, faculty & staff section, and the team itself (recruits, player families).

I'm fine with 35k to start but once we can and have the need, expand to 40-45k should be a priority.

Over the past few years, we have only hit 35k based on our opponent. Once it's sustainable (and season tickets are sold out), we expand.

Yea it's like building a home...sometimes it's makes more sense to put in some upgrades now than upgrade later and pay way more.

A good compromise might be 35k with a larger berm area so could hold 40k.

Also a reddit thread in /CFB on it but Reddit is blocked at work so can't link it now.

35k is a good number.

Ten years ago I thought 40k would be good for and OCS. Since then college football attendance has been declining, and USFs draw has declined as well. 35k is plenty.

If we ever become a winning program again, the scarcity might increase the perceived demand.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
