If the concern is the desire to have a lot of students at the game, could not the concern have been stated "we need to do things that get a lot of students to the game" as opposed to stating the "importance of making the community inclusive"?

Because those paragraphs weren't dealing with just getting a lot of students to the game but rather specifically dealing with including students who, because of their diverse  backgrounds of origin, may not be familiar with the whole college football experience ..... plus, since it will be the USF community's ocs, possibly using the stadium for diverse other sports to include those that may not ever get into college football.

Either way, whether we like it or not involving the students early is a good move. Of course they are kids and all (well most) kids dumb so take that for what's it worth.

What a great problem to have. And with that, if we win overall ticket demand will be high. And when people complain about how difficult it is to get tickets, I will just sit back and smile.

Just have to get Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa (for the intersections with Fowler and Fletcher) to put it on their lists... assuming USF "donates" the additional ROW needed, that would reduce the costs considerably.

Shortly after the announcement back in 2021 that an OCS was going to be built, there was a sign at the 50th Street/Fletcher Avenue intersection that was for a public hearing about changes to that specific intersection. There has to be a widening of that area, which is certainly possibly.

I would have to think that on games days the traffic flow will be one way on 50th after games depending on how one is leaving campus.

There was a huge international student population at least 10 years ago, so maybe that's all this means.  I've had to explain baseball and football to many a person that are interested but have no idea what anything means.  Side note: try explaining the "why's" in baseball to someone who has never seen it. It's funny.

I forgot to mention one thing that I believe has been discussed earlier in this thread.

It does sound like there will be 2 separate clubs in the stadium; a "field level" club and a "premium" club.

going from a 65,000 seat stadium to a 35,000 seat stadium means there will only be 8,000 or so seats for students anyway.

If the team starts winning consistently, student tickets will "sell out" no problem.

This is also why I think some form of "The Bullspen" outside the stadium would be greatly beneficial. Similar to Thunder Alley, watch home/away games, tailgate, and the natural ability to host college gameday for when we earn it.

Let's crowdfund the naming rights...

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
