The problem is not that they’re triggers but that the words are used incorrectly and ignorantly and challenging is disallowed.  Maybe a reverse trigger.

I was a little late to the meeting. My wife's 2 hour therapy session ended at 1. By time we got home and had lunch I missed the first 10 - 15 minutes. This meeting didn't seem to be as much about the stadium but covered a lot of "premium" talk. I guess this meeting was all Iron Bulls. Little do they know I'm not looking for premium food or suites. That's a different income level than us. I do my drinking and eating while tailgating so really don't buy much inside the stadium.  They looked for comments on the food at RayJay and other than raw chicken tenders I'm not sure what they serve. 

There was talk about tailgating and someone did bring up the topic of either statues or names over the entrances on the order of Notre Dame's entrances. 

When they asked about traditions, existing or things to establish, it was mostly crickets. Some mention of a live bull or things that other schools do/have before games.

I asked about the expansion of 50th street and I guess there had been talk before I joined about making sure traffic flow to 75 and 275 was smooth after the game. So I'm not quite sure what that means.

50th Street absolutely has to be expanded. It needed to be even before the thought of an OCS came into view.

I would hope so. Even leaving a hoops game with less than 2k people can become a nightmare. I hate traffic and try to be on my way out at the final buzzer (if it's a women's game, if it's a men's game I'm usually out by the 8 or 4 minute time out )

The problem is that the words could have very well been used correctly if the diversity and inclusive talked about was just referring to students who weren't football fans ...... but those words triggered a reaction by some who have apparently been conditioned to assume they meant something else. And, honestly, what does it matter if it did mean something else? Why give a **** what the stadium will be used for when it's not creating the on campus experience of game day football ....
