no way RMC is leaving, you can't blame the guy when players get injured, drop, or have a discipline problem.  hes doing the best for what hes got.  if you don't like what hes doing just let me be and leave him alone, stop calling for his head.  all you greenberg fans out there tell me this...what did he do while he was here?  nothing, he had great players and did nothing with them, and even passed over the graham twins.  lay off the man, hes had a short roster this year and last due mostly to injuries, just get behind the players we have now and cheer them on, things will soon change

He's had a short roster because he runs players off... what basketball program are you following. I can understand depletion due to injuries... but this guy chases away his own recruits.

We will see Velcro. I like RMC as a game coach but he has too many things going against him. After we get drubbed 40 points a game or more in BE action Woolard is going to have to act to save whats left of the ship

Not much, but that's not much harder than building a system around the wrong players.  Jury is still long out on our current coach, unless we really do wanna gamble for huggins.

I'd recommend avoiding that, as its premature and could KILL our rep as well as hurt our relations with the current coach should it fail.

terry, i've been following usf basketball since 2001, the reason hes running them off is because they had problems following directions, he gambled on a player based on his playing, and when it came down to it, hes actions off the court and maybe on the court would have hurt the team in the long run

The players run themselves off by being losers that can't handle the heat.  Thug style didn't work for us... everyone complained and wanted a change... that change is still taking hold... it isn't something that happens immediately, and injuries to this magnitude surely slow it down.

Greenberg left... he wasn't forced out. RMC got the job by default... no matter how much people wanted change... change only happened when Greenberg vacated the job.

RMC didn't get the job by default... he won the job and was chosen out of a bunch of candidates... getting it by default would be getting the job when the previous coach is fired and you are named interim head coach.

velcro,

USF basketball seems to be cursed!!! It seems like every year that we get key players injured. I know McCullum can coach. He did not do too bad a job last season when he took USF to the semi finals in the C-USA tourny. The difference this year is that we dont have a Swift, Leather, or Bryant right now. To me the loss of Dennis may have cost USF two wins against FIU and TAMU-CC. No, I truley believe USF wins both those games and is at 4-0. So, DARKSIDERS, you have to take that into account. USF does not have a good ball handler right now hence all the turnovers and the lack of scoring opportunies. USF needs Dennis healthy fast. Losing Howard hurt big time too. I am upset right now, but I have to tell my self that we can only go up. LOL

Who made up Thug Ball? Reggie Kohn? Cedric Smith? BB Waldon was not a thug btw, I knew him and he was an easy happy-going guy. Brian Swift? Jimmy Baxter? Gerrick "I Love Computers" Morris? Scott Johnson? Art Reeves?

These guys are thugs? Time to leave the suberbs compadres.....

I'm glad you feel the same way about the the "Thug Image" of our former players. Hell Mince... you would be cut for being to thuggish on this squad.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
