Awesome to see the new chart. I see who you put as qb1. I hope you and I are both right.

I would probably go that route but it's a tough call.

19 year old that has a much more redshirt fresh with a more accurate arm in a pass heavy offense versus a 6th year senior with lots of experience but displayed issues last year with accuracy and turnovers. I trust Goach finds his guy but if history is any indication the 3rd qb is probably  going to be our starter eventually this year .

Question, slot wr, what makes them different than the other WRs? Like how are their routes drawn up and are they a tall possession guy, or a speedster?

The slot receiver  is usually a receiver lining on the inside that is going to run a route that cuts left or right to catch the ball over the middle. Obviously there are other routes they run but usually it is a slant or some shorter route cutting left or right. They usually are not the the fastest but quicker receivers. Most slot receivers are smaller so they can catch the ball low and make it harder to cover. Think of Wes Welker and Julian Edelman. I think think that is the easiest way to explain it.

If you want a full breakdown I posted a link .

Thanks, your explanation makes plenty sense. That is why we see some of our quicker RBs lineup at slot on occasion.

Defense will decide how far we go in 2023. USF will face three of the top 10 returning QBs in passing yards, including the #1 WKU QB

Agree, specifically if they can put out a DL that can create some pressure and stop from being gashed up the middle.  If they can do that with some success and they create some good blitz packages that will really help the secondary and make them look improved.
