1. Herrman is coaching at FAU.  Whatever people thought he was at one time, he ain't it now.  So I have no idea why it is even a conversation.

2. Isn't this thread supposed to be about our football roster?  This is getting like the realignment thread.

"Squirrel!!" like moments are still a board mainstay ..... my apologies.

3. Can someone give me a one page summary about how we are doing with this roster turnover.  Will we be able to win a game or two next year?

I predict that Gb will try and enlighten you before I can post this ...

I took a look at the weight of our Offensive and defensive lines. CAG certainly added some weight to this roster. We are still undersized.

  • DT/NT - We need 1 more 300+ DT/NT in my eyes.
  • DE - At this point, unless Todd Orlando switches a few DEs to LBs, we are really undersized at DE.
  • Linebackers - Undersized base on the chart I listed below.
  • Offensive line - We have the size to be maulers if they are conditioned right.

Note: I am not sure how well our roster matches up with the list below. But I assume we will be taking a few more defensive line players.

I literally said I was shocked the FAU linebacker left playing for Herman a proven winner to come to USF and play for Golesh. I praised Orlando for getting him here. Another poster chimed in ands aid it was DC Orlando that made Herman look good but that is not true. Both Houston and Texas have not performed as well since Herman left and have not made a ny6 bowl. Todd Orlando was fired from USC and FAU. Their defenses were worse under him. Other posters chimed in about Herman not being a good coach because he is tough/*****, but that is not true. You can be tough/***** Saban, Myers, Spurrier, Dabo, and many other top coaches and still be a good coach. At the end of the day I literally praised Orlando for bringing the FAU linebacker. I still think we missed up hiring an unproven coach over proven winner in Herman but that is not the page for this. Time will tell. Herman is very accomplished and has two NY6 wins at two different programs. Texas and Houston have been worse off since he left.

Hopefully him and Davis can give Brown some help out there. Most of our defensive backs were referred to as burnt toast all year. Go Bulls!

"Matt Hill play of the week"

We need a pookah and red offseason podcast... at least one or two to recap all the news.

Free td on the deep routes and stop chasing the guy happened often from Hill and a few others last year.  If I was coach if you stop chasing your guy before the td you are getting benched and replaced by some guy that won't give up on a play.

If you are referring to Nick Roberts he transferred out when Scott came and balled out. I think he made a wise choice.

Every athlete in every sport needs a competent coach.
