Nice article on the wr coach in the Times today ..... but one thing that was a little disconcerting that I didn't realize, "Only one of last season’s top five pass-catchers remain." Breaking it down further, we've only got 33 receptions from wr's coming back, with 14 belonging to Atkins. Obviously it's going to mean a ton more opportunities for returners with promise like Terry and Ajou, and the 6 being added (4 recruits and 2 transfers), but there's still a lot of unknowns on that side of the ball that some seem to think is going to be okay ..... which it still could obviously. Those that set expectations need to take a hard, rational look at this first year.

Concerning but an upgrade in coaching should upgrade that. It is not like our receiving corps were great to begin with outside of Weaver and Horn.  The coaching staff has their work cut out for them on both sides of the ball. The football program is a dumpster fire because of the previous coach. A transfer from SEU FIRE Bryce Miller was one of the better  and most consistent receivers for a few years.

I used his  career stats as a starter at Usf ...

Then you're as clueless as the clowns who don't consider Willie's time here a success because of his overall record at USF ...

Willie improved USF and left it in a better place than he inherited it. That can only be said for one other coach at USF Leavitt.  Tags was a great recruiter and salesman at USF. Tags was sub 0.500 overall at USF and his career.   ironically the second most successful coach at USF was Charlie Strong who was fired for 4-8 with three fbs wins in his worst year. Yes I know he did it with Willie's recruits but  most of CJS's best players were also Strong's recruits. He had a better case for an extension than Scott based on his coaching career and players he recruited/developed Jackson and Bridgewater .You actually think GB had good numbers at USF last year? I think Brown  proved that he was better and should be the starter no questions asked.

What I liked about the last game was that a certain someone was dishing it out and spreading the ball around with accuracy and making all the WRs look amazing.

One thing I have learned is to not challenge you on stats but get you on hypotheticals….
