No way I would sit BB after what I saw at the end of last season.  However, if GB is that far ahead of him then you have to go with that and hope BB doesn't leave.  It would be tough to sacrifice BB for all those years for one year remaining for GB.  BB is the future, in my opinion

While I agree, I think we need to consider that each player is here for one year at a time for as many times as they want to be here.  Everyone is too mobile now to automatically assume that we would get all of BB's eligibility.  Crazy times.

Exactly this. Even if BB plays this year there’s zero guarantee he’d be here 4 years

Get what you can get every year. If that means playing GB and BB walks so be it.

I assume it depends on who fits CAG's system right now. However, even when GB was tearing it up, he was no where near as accurate as BB was. I'd put my money on BB starting unless he takes a step back during the spring.

GB was terrible throwing last year. He excelled due to his legs. I'd be hard pressed to see BB losing out to him. BB showed he was mobile, accurate and poised as a true freshman in a horrible situation. GB was fine but he was more rb than QB.

GB was definitely better the last few games before he got hurt. Hell, the Tulane game alone he was spot on on a few deep balls that were the exact type of throws he was missing on earlier in the season.

That being said, personally I'd rather go with Byrum as I think he has the higher ceiling.

We can't forget our receivers were as a whole pretty bad too. Dropped passes and inability to create separation makes QB's look worse. Agree BB looked better, but am not convinced GB was bad at all. He was playing for a bad team.

Right but Brown had the same team to play with just later in the year with more injuries.  And he didn't have Weaver for two(?) games.  GB was fine but his throwing accuracy held us back big time. Not to mention he had shoulder surgery so who knows when he'll actually be ready to play

Look at how BB spread the ball around to receivers who were basically MIA early in the season. I think that was for two reasons:

1. BB was throwing receivers open more than GB. Throwing receivers open is a required skill when there isn’t the separation.

2. BB wasn’t only locking in on Weaver and was working through progressions and whoever was open would get the ball regardless of who the name was on the jersey.

Personally, I thought BB did a better job with our team than GB but some of that could have been coming from CJS. It’s hard to really know all the dynamics at play. I trust CAG to pick whoever gives us the best chance to win. He knows we have to win and win now and I don’t think he gives a rats - whose feelings get hurt.

BB may have had more reps with those MIA guys too if he was practicing with the 2s and 3s before, then Weaver sits out and others are injured. I mean, BB can’t throw to Weaver if he doesn’t play.

I basically agree 100% with this and I am a GB homer too.  GB definitely had the skillset to win many games on that very team, but the accuracy and pocket seemed to be on another level with BB.

I was kinda bummed certain WRs transferred out because it seemed like they were starting to make it happen with BB.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
