My hope is that the admin just tries to brute force and out spend everyone in the conference and that leads to wins.

I usually frown on bribery but I may be warming up to the idea .......

I understand where we are and know it won’t happen overnight. My point is that USF should be among the top of the AAC and if we aren’t then we aren’t pulling our weight

I do get that and hopefully we will be, but there will be times like the next couple of years, and possibly others going forward, where we may not and there will be "excuses"/reasons for it. Other programs will be trying just as hard to get to the top as we will be.

God Bless you son. That’s REALLY the reality of the whole darn shootin’ match.

The talent is there to win 4 games next season. I expect a bowl game in year 2,  compete for an AAC championship in year 3, and be ranked in year 4.

Anything less would be disappointing. New coaches come in all the time and turn a program around in less time. While it wont be a easy, a good coach can do it; and  a great coach can even beat this trajectory. All the tools are there to succeed.

God our expectations are low

We generally don’t get two stars. Usually virtually our entire recruiting classes are 3 stars.

Thanks

Understand that. But USF needs to develop that mentality. If ucf was able to do it, then that should be our expectations. USF has way more advantages than a Tulsa, Tulane, ECU etc. we should expect that our teams be at the top. For awhile I have seen USF athletics settle for at best mediocrity and keep coaches on board or worse give them raises for little return. One thing you can’t deny ucf, is that they acted and hired expecting to win. We need that attitude at USF.

Way too many ******* references to ucf to calmly respond to all the points but will address that one. UCF acted in a way that can build a solid foundation, working their way up through the levels of college football, building when they needed to. As far as hiring expecting to win, we both hired that way, the difference being theirs actually did ...... and not sure where the settling for mediocrity comes from. We've kept no failed coach longer than the three years that most any coach should get.

The one thing we somehow should have found a way to get done awhile ago was the IPF ..... but that can bring up the other subject of the historically anemic donor levels we've lived through.

Well you might not like to hear them and trust me I don’t like to mention them. But the truth is that they invested more than we have and yes they do expect more from their hires than we have.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
