He was a P5 OC last year and a TE coach in the Big 10 for the 3 years before that.

For a 1-11 G5 TE coach I'd call it a slam dunk

I strongly disagree with not retaining DDP. Nothing I can do anything about so I'll just sit here and be disappointed as usual.

I'm a little bit disappointed as well. I hope that they treated him fairly and didn't just keep him around until after Signing Day in order to retain a few recruits.

I'm not implying that is what happened here. I am hoping it is not. But for him to announce he is gone the day after NSD makes the timing suspect.

Was wondering that too. If so it bodes well for him to grind it out and write such a good send off letter. Big plus for him going forward.

In the professional world, sometimes there is some sweet bonus attached to that, so maybe?

It's a business...and he still had a job to do.  If they fired him and missed out on recruits, that wouldn't have been smart.

As long as they didn't lie to him and imply he was staying long term I'm okay with keeping him til after signing day.
