Or you could consider none of this happens in a vaccum.

Leavitt was a Co-DC from a now P5 program becoming the first coach at an upstart DI-AA Independent program.  The well was full of hope, not disaster.

Completely different scenario.   Carry on.

except Leavitt's only one example and your right none of this happens in a vacuum so the only real thing to do is see of Golesh 1.0 can build on the positives that are here or not.

I think the new AAC will be tough if not tougher moving forward. UTSA & UAB will absolutely roll USF. Tulane beat the Big 12 champ earlier this season.

Its not that a coordinator can't work out; surely it happens all the time. To me its about is this the safe pick in our circumstances. I think with realignment, and our 1 conference win in 3 years; it would have been better for us to have hired someone with HC experience; instead having someone with a steep learning curve and training wheels. Especially we cant afford a 3 year plan; we need to be  better sooner then later.

But I hope I am wrong, and it is possible that it all works out
