You know what else is insane?  Acting like a fanbase who has had 3 good years since 2012 should be happy to give away money to administrators who continually waste it on bad hires.

I just don't like blaming the fans.  Yes there are overreactions to the hire and in a different hiring cycle I'm sure more people would be excited about the guy who turned Tennessee into the #1 offense choosing USF.

But the reactions are absolutely understandable considering the very malpractices you yourself mentioned.  There is no "trust but verify" left for the fanbase...it's doubt and wait for proof.  Winning is the only thing that will earn trust back.

I'm gonna quote myself, because why not. I retract my knee jerk reaction to this hire. Coach A isn't splashy, but after doing some reading on him, seeing the video released of him talking to the team, etc., I think he's a good fit and I think he can take us where we need to go.

At the same time, after seeing the video of Deion talking to the CU team, good lord I think we dodged a bullet on that one. I'm all about setting a tone of excellence on day one, but basically trashing the whole existing team and telling them you hope they all hit the transfer portal because that's more room for his guys, ****, what a great way to lose the team. Not exactly classy.

I chose not to renew before Scott was let go, thinking we'd have another season of rock bottom next year.  I thought about renewing when he was fired, but after 5 years of mediocrity, I'm taking a season off.  I've been a fan since the beginning, but I'm just not enjoying it anymore.
