I wish more people would quit typing in rage and at least do some research.

there’s no guarantee on ANY HC hire. But this guy knows offense.

He didn't wait a week.  This wasn't the guy he was going to hire when the week started.

I hope that this was the guy he wanted if Deion fell through and he probably could have assumed a couple of days ago that Deion wasnt happening.

Side note.  I have to admit that this kind of surprises me.  It may work out, but I'm a little underwhelmed at the moment all things considered.

Excellent point, but what fun would message boards be without rage posting

We don’t need help on offense and defense wins championships.

I don't think so... Chadwell and Sanders were the very likely first two choices, and it might have been as late as Thursday before they were officially out of the picture.

I have to think MK talked to Golesh (and many others) over the weeks since Scott left... but the formal due diligence and actual negotiations might not have started until a few days ago.

If you to the route of “experience” for the sake of experience, you’re likely going to end up with a guy who was recently fired. Speaking of Peter principle..

Nope, but a proven track record at a lower level would help with confidence. I've coached up junior hires that were home runs, and had experienced ones fall really flat. This guy is just a real unknown, and this program really needs -something- to grasp on.

The offense at Tennessee is a variation of the Art Briles Baylor offense.  Gonna be interesting seeing Bohannon or Brown running it.

Too bad we have wide receivers leaving us.  Some of them could have had career seasons in 2023.

That's what tripped me up with Scott.

Sanders was the obvious first choice.  Not sure about Chadwell but if he chose Liberty over us then he's an idiot and we dodged a bullet.  We may not have had a deal until yesterday or today but I'm guessing MK had an idea.  Whether it is a good idea or not remains to be seen

Everyone sounds great at the beginning (well almost everyone).  Hopefully it doesn't take him 5 games into next season to decide on a starting QB like CJS, then we know we are in trouble
