I just can't imagine what control he wouldn't have. We are bottom of the barrel, what exactly would the administration be against him controlling?

I'd have to ask what that means, since there are such things as oversight.  This ain't the majors, yet.

He wanted to essentially be the VP/HC of football operations. He doesn't want any meddling or input from anyone outside of him and his staff. My source just texted him again at 3:36 pm to try and get another update.

The one we have now is like Billy Shears, the faux Paul McCartney.

My sources just told me that VPMK was very interested in former USF running back Mike Ford as the New HC. He was late to his interview after an issue on his moped on Holly Drive.

My sources have Leeman Bennett coming out of retirement to coach us, he had so much success his first go around in Tampa, he wanted a second bite at the apple.

Too funny.  He was an abject failure for the Bucs but people forget that when he coached the Falcons, they only gave up 129 points in 14 games one season (1977).  The Bucs defense was awful in his time here.  This is a prime example that you sometimes don't know what you are getting when you hire a guy.

I would give Deion whatever level of control he wanted. If he flames out, do you really see USF getting the blame for giving Deion a shot? Is there any possible way he could leave our program in a worse state than it is presently?

My source who texts with Deion regularly just told me that USF and Deion got close in discussions, but he wanted full control of the program and USF wasn't prepared to give him that. Also, the money was a little bit less than we wanted, but the control over the program is what he is really seeking.

I trust you on this. Will see. Know there were a lot of demands.

I wonder what kind of control he was asking for that we were not willing to give?  In theory?
