I like that idea more. Leavitt, Tricket OC, and bring in a DC that could recruit and listen to LEavitt.

Would have to be a deal for Leavitt to be Sanders replacement in a few seasons after Deion gets hired away.

Would you take that offer?  Come back to your old job, but with a demotion ??

Yes, I would. As my dear ol' mom used to say, "Don't go cuttin' off your nose to spite your face." How many job offers is Leavitt getting at this point?

We don’t really know. Heard rumors he has turned down many jobs already.

I haven't followed CJL's career because CSH took over when I first started at USF.

I hear Jim's defenses were great at USF.. is this a fair statement? You tell me.

I know he hasn't had the opportunity to be a HC again since USF.

What has happened when he was DC at the following schools for only a season or 2?
(Colorado, Oregon, FAU, SMU)

2015–2016 Colorado (DC/LB)
2017–2018 Oregon (DC/LB)
2019 Florida State (Analyst)
2020 Florida Atlantic (DC)
2021 SMU (DC)

Was he fired because he isn't a great DC or was it for other reasons all together? If it was because he isn't a very good DC, is that someone we want to be brought to USF as DC just because he was first coach at USF who coached at a much different time in college sports at a time when he was a much younger man?

I'm just asking questions for those of you who know. Thanks!

That is only a question Leavitt could answer. Think he probably doesn’t want to leave Tampa Bay are because of his family

Not even sure he was fired or he just left some of the DC jobs.
