Nope they said confirmed to start in 2026 but they are hoping to start two seasons early in 2024. We will see. We have time but we need to sell em on 2024

That sounds accurate given that we supposedly had a shot with him during the last round.  It does seem that the current president, board, and VPMK are serious about making moves though so maybe that situation has also changed in the positive ($$$) since the last hiring round.  He seems really committed to his situation there though.  It wouldn't be knock on us and it's nice to have our name out there like that.

If we do somehow get pull something crazy and get him, then all the "it will never happen" people will have to retire from poo-pooing things and commit to sitting in the back row in the end corner of the OCS as penalty and not gaze upon the future conference trophy.

They will just have 9 SEC teams, Michigan, Ohio State and one ACC team and throw a middle finger to y'all.

Nah lol. When the news first came I was thinking the same thing. But they stated that they will select top 6 conferences champs and have 6 at large bids. So basically the AAC has to beat out the Mountain West, Sun Belt, MAC, C-USA Etc to be rated the 6th best conference and USF gets in If we win AAC.  College football post season will be amazing

I don't know BTLS, but even if he was my bestest friend, I wouldn't tell him anything about any pending job negotiations I was involved in.  Pretty sure if there was a picture of "can't keep a secret" in the dictionary, it would be a picture of BTLS.

Alternative Viewpoint: Lover of Sponges said Deion says they were close in making a deal as a tease to USF to get USF to come back with a little more to actually get him, thus allowing Deion to get more from a deal he was already interested in, as long as USF was willing to put out a little more.
