For what it's worth, Thamel's article feels like a hedge. "Preparing to accept" is a weird way to say "has accepted." Almost like there's a possibility he backs out last minute. 

But I've believed that we should find a coach who can coach, and focus less on a name. Deion is just a really hot name right now, and we've gone that route a few times. Just get someone who can coach.

Losing out on Deion is gonna suck if it’s true. If we end up with Chadwell or someone lesser next year is gonna suck

I’m surprised DS wouldn’t want to come here. At CU, you have to compete with other P5 and play against 4/5 stars. Here, he can out-talent opponents and slowly build his way up to his dream job at FSU or whatever it is.
