I cant agree more and no matter how much blatantly tell it like it is..they see him as the savior. They are content with 6-8 wins a year finishing 3rd and 4th in conference standings. He has no connections to good assistants.

What kind of check are you writing?  The program has been in a tail dive since 2011, even its best was loses to UCF, FAU, WKU, and more.  It's not nostalgia, it is a more rational form of time to put all your chips in or fold than hiring a celebrity.  We are now what we laughed at others for.  We've been that for a while.

Denial: Deion doesn't make sense anywhere but here. / None of these pundits know what they're talking about -- it's all speculation!
Anger: Deion hasn't proven himself at a higher level / Good luck at crappy Colorado! / MK needs to lose his job if he whiffs on this!
Bargaining: MK needs to bet the house on Deion!
Depression: We're going to lose out on our first and second choices, then what?!
Acceptance: Welcome Coach Chadwell, I was excited for him all long!

Nailed it.

I genuinely think Deion needs us just as much as we need him. His whole game plan seems to be dominating southeast recruiting and out-talenting his peers.

At USF he could immediately be winning 9+ games every year. At Cincinnati in the Big 12 or Colorado in the Pac 12 he may struggle for a couple years first, and after 2 years of less than 7 wins a lot of his shine will wear off.

I’m with you on this. Break the bank for Deion; but I do like Chadwell, Tom Herman or Dan Mullen. That would be my short list anyways.

Tom Herman would be a great hire

I think so too. He comes across as a bit of a steadier hand. Not as flashy, but equally effective.

It’ll be fun to compare how DS/JC did in a  couple of years.

Deion may not be a great coach jury is still out but what he does is ignite players because of what he has done. When he soeaks you believe him. The ups/downs/jn’s and out’s. He is a dynamic celebrity. Who walked the walk and who every kid who would to be. He has a great PR strategy and team meetjngs and speeches get released showing how in tune with the players he is…the top recruits in colorado already promised to stay home and play for him. He has the golden ticket and as long as his staff is good he will get the players. So it will be hard to judge because he should succeed as long as he has a good support staff because the players will be good.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
