I guess the point is why can't Joiner by Battie 2.0.  They both have the same build and skill sets and Scott for whatever reason had Joiner higher on the depth chart.  In the past Joiner has shown he can be electric in limited playing time.  Is Battie really THAT much better than KJ?  Were the previous coaches complete idiots to have KJ higher than Battie on the depth chart.

Who do you see replacing Battie ?

Pick one that is still here. We had a full RB room. You give some of those guys regular workload and momentum and i don't see much if any drop off. Definitely not behind that OL. We lost the whole OL right? Battie is no dummy, he wasn't going anywhere next year without the line.

A healthy Kelly Joiner can be a top-flight back. Mikey Dukes is a capable back. K’wan Powell is a capable back. Jason Albritton is a capable back. Although Battie is proven and a significant loss, we’ll be OK there if we can keep guys healthy. And let’s not sleep on Jaylen Johnson. He may be the best signee in the class.

The hell with the skill players. Build the team from the OL/DL out...

Much easier to recruit skill players in our area than the lines. I agree use money to keep good linemen on both sides

Looks like Powell and Britton would be our best bet but they mostly played in garbage time.  Dukes ,Hamilton, and Joiner both were under 4 yards per carry.

Joiner coming off injury, I'd give him a little grace on the eval.

Hard to tell with those numbers of carries

Joiner career  stats 239 carries 1256 yds 5.3 avg.. I’m fine with him starting at RB

Convert Gerry to a RB.

Crazy proposal.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
