Battie has USF stuff all over his twitter.  Believe he was also involved in the Fowler Ave. Collective recently.  The tween could mean anything.

I don't think Battie is going anywhere.

I guess it may be helpful to see if there's a context to what he said .....

If he's pals with Horn, and Horn talked him up to Deion, and Deion wants him, Battie is gone. Lots of ifs, but let's not fool ourselves. Kids only see dollar signs now in collegiate athletics.

Really, what's the difference at this point? Would you like to keep him, and Weaver, and Grier, and Dustyn Hall and the few other guys who have performed with competence? Sure. But it's Coach Go's program now. He needs have guys who want to play for him and in his system.

Probably the difference would be a lot of yards and points.  Would be a bummer.

There are still a lot of transfer DT's with size that area available. Some have question marks , some have not played much, and some are on their last year of eligibility.

Yes, I'd rather all those guys stay Bulls and help us turn it around. I get that, but I think we have to look beyond the 2023 season and I can't get too worked up about anyone leaving the program. With what college football has now become, it's the norm. You just have to move on and not look back. The kids aren't. It's their new normal. None of this is good for the game, but nobody that makes a difference seems to see that or care enough to do anything about it. I'll always root for whoever is wearing the Green & Gold, but we have to understand that the fans come last in every scenario - especially the fans that aren't rooting for about 20-25 schools that hold all the power. It started when they began scheduling weeknight games or noon home games in August and September in Florida. Then it was paying coaches ridiculous money. Now it's watching athletes (not student-athletes) playing for 3-4 schools. It's not our game. We're just part of the demographic studies that ESPN, et al do to decide how to make the most $.
