Agree with you 100%. Right now with the NIL we are in unknown times. I believe in next few years there will be some rules created to clarify and bring some control to it. With that said it has always been about money to bring in the best players, you really think those top players weren’t paid before by boosters?. Most of the top players are looking at how they can get to next level and get best deal till then. Those of us that think those players are coming here because they love USF are fooling themselves. 
Reality as it stands now and that to win you will need good coaches and players and to that you will need facilities and money to pay coaches and players. Nothing has changed it just that now the paying the players is more in the open.

So if you want USF to succeed and compete the fans will have to support 5he school and NIL providers with money. You decide whether you give the school for facilities, coaches or to the Collectives to pay players

To regain national prominence, USF needs to start winning and never stop at this point. Seriously. I don’t think watered down AAC conference championships alone will do it. USF also has to beat their P5 OOC opponents for anyone to believe they belong on a national stage. They have to accomplish this feat in the new college football landscape (portal + NIL) in which your best players are being plucked to greener pastures on a yearly basis. Honestly, it’s hard to fault folks for their doomer povs. The timing of USFs woes could not have been worse the way things have played out.

Honestly, for a fan base that has suffered through 1 FBS win in the last 3 seasons, I'm surprised there are not more doomers.  In 2023, I'm grateful that these doomers are still here posting, no matter what they have to say, because the alternative is worse.
