Just a thought. NIL is “not related “ to the school. Does the “likeness” specify an institution?

BOOSTERs, businesses agents,  and fans pay the money  to the players while the NCAA is not giving a dollar to the players or sharing profits.

So, one of those pays $&&&$&$$$. They’re paying to support their chosen school, not necessarily the player. IF you’re the one donating/paying you’re darn sure not paying because you like that player. You’re donating for your team. PERIOD!  Are the NIL contracts written to protect the team? Then the NIL and the school are not exclusive.

I have no idea because I am not giving money to the players . The NCAA sold it as they were splitting their profits with players but it is really just fans, sports agents, boosters, and businesses giving money. I have donated over the years to the athletic fund and IPF fund. This year is the year I decide to stop giving money and forfeit my season tickets or continue donating to the football program what I can. I dropped my bull status down this year because of the football team results and only renewed my tickets.

Pretty much the same here. We have an endowment written into our will. Not going to fund it anymore annually since they won’t count it as a donation to athletics. They can wait for my wife to die to get the rest of it.

To be fair, we did sign up for $10 a month to the Fowler Ave. But I piss away A lot more than that every month.

If we get the same in writing regarding the insurance policy we're done with the Iron Bull thing too.

Going cold turkey worked for me (and I have a lot more cold turkey than cash around the house at this time of the year).  Happy new year!

Yikes, some scary sentiments being offered here. Can’t blame anyone, that’s for sure, but still scary. There is no doubt that some very positive things NEED to happen on the fields and courts at this point. If we are truly committing the necessary resources, there will be no acceptable excuses. If we are not - pretty quickly - the crème of the crop in this new AAC, then we have truly failed. With this group of institutions making up the AAC, we should never finish in the bottom half of the league - in any sport. No more talk. Only results matter at this point.

That should have been our motto since Leavitt was fired by Judy. Now all we can try to do is catch up and build from rock bottom. Lets hope we got the right administration and coaches committed to winning.

It's sad that everyone has gone full USF Doomer.  Golesh needs to get a couple wins to dry the tears.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
