USF was not giving Taggart sufficient funds to hire and keep solide defensive coaching staff.  The purse cracked open with Strong then opened up more with Scott.  With as much !oney as Oregon was throwing at Taggart I would have left too.  That's the business as USF did not take care of it at that time. Now USf is paying the cost.

I really doubt there's anything USF could have done to keep Willie here. I don't think it was just the "cash" as some corners keep intimating .....

For me, that's not even a partial concern in who we hire. How many jobs are there in college football where someone isn't going to leave for a "better" one? 5? 10 out of hundreds? If you're not one of those, you're losing your coach when those other schools come calling. We're not one of those 5 or 10.
