I honestly only care about #1 because to be a winner you kind of have to do the other ones.

1. Winning record at every level of coaching
2. HC experience at universities with limited resources (Former FCS cellar dweller, HBCUs, etc.)
3. Recruiting experience in a competitive market like Florida, Texas, or California
4. Addicted to winning but emotionally stable
5. Good identifier of assistant coach talent

2. Proven, known experience recruiting Florida - Willie Simmons look at FAMU's offers compared to the offers we have out on the 247 site.  
3. Proven,known ability to develop players - Willie Simmons
4. Experience identifying talent on the portal - Willie Simmons. Hell he poached to of our players this year. 
5. A demonstrated undying, contagious competitiveness - Willie Simmons. Last year, his offense almost put up 500 yards of offense on us. This year his team hung with North Carolina with 20 players out of the game. His team is on an 8 game winning streak.

I would add:

1) Strong vested interest in USF Athletics and USF the university

2) Demonstrates interest in the history and identity of the program, and works to build it back up rather than ensure the spotlight is only wide enough for them (avoid something like Willie T "it's all about me")

3) Ability and interest to socialize with and shmooze donors, potential donors, Tampa leaders and corporations to help continue to ingratiate USF Athletics with stakeholders in Tampa Bay

4) Ideally, but more of a want - can see themselves sticking around for more than 3-4 years to build something great here, rather than seeing USF solely as a stepping stone. Very difficult to find that, but I think we could find the money to keep a coach who wins here and gets overtures from outside the program
