You do know the school and coach can have NOTHING to do with that?  That's the job of businesses, collectives, fan sites, boosters, etc.

Right, but the HC needs to know the intricacies and the massive impact it has on recruiting. For better or worse, talent on the field has a price tag in the nil era

Much more complicated, since the coach can't pay NIL from the taxpayers, the coach has to recruit players that fans, companies, boosters will pay ENOUGH to keep them at USF.  That is highly unlikely.  If USF cannot get the community's businesses behind it (Sorry, it won't be FA getting subscriptions from everyday fans), players that want higher NIL will constantly depart.  I think every coach knows it, but for our fan base, which is demolished and our community support which is light, a coach may have to do much more than know how NIL works in areas that have the support.  So, better said, the coach has to get the community's buisnesses behind the program.  Or maybe theat's the job of someoene else.  The coach does have to coach.

Looks good except for the tweak in bold ......

That would rule out two candidates.

Says the guy with credibility on the line.  That's fine, that's Trip's qualification.  Anything pertinent to add?

Are you being a smartass?

Yes, it's on topic because a coach's NIL responsibility is a qualification posted by another member.

So if neither of those two candidates get hired, does that make me more credible down the line? Since you're saying my credibility is on the line if one does get hired?

You're coming out with confident statements about who will not get hired.  If you are right, you earn credibility.  When you are wrong, you don't.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
