I am arguing against hightechbullthat you want to enter the conversation at the end while not following the ongoing conversation and cannot even be bothered by my pretty amazing summary is not really my problem but I am willing to continue to help you if you can at least point me in the direction of which part is so very difficult for you.

just wanted to point out that you are both wrong and that Taggart being a good coach for us doesn't mean Leavitt was a failure and vice versa. Carry on though.

really??

I see people bashing Taggart constantly on here. Saying he was no good here because he didn't win a bowl or have a winning record.

Complaining he took another higher paying job, etc.

It is possible to believe Leavitt was the greatest in our history while also believing Taggart did a very good job here in turning us around.

The entirety of this conversation is that CJL was not great because he did not do X,Y,Z and that CWT was better by not having done any of those things either while at the same time doing worse in anything that anyone did actually do. If you would like to discuss who is the the third best coach between CWT and CSH I am sure that will go much better.

sounds like a pointless argument

Fact is they both did good things for us

Except the whole I am not wrong part, sure. I can not be more clear there is not a single thing for even the shortest period of time that CWT did better than CJL it is a laughable conversation by any measure.

Taggart developed a much better offense. Put more offensive players in the NFL

Sure I guess at that very simple level that is kind of true but that does not mean that CJL did not do more good things, did them more consistently and did better things while CWT did more bad things, did them more consistently and did far worst things than were ever imaginable before he thought he could rebuild Stanford here. CWT only can be mentioned in the same USF encyclopedia as CJL because of how embarrassing everyone else has done not because he in any way competed with him, it is a laughable discussion (but more in a sad way than hahah funny).

Yeah like get blown out by Oregon in the Sun Bowl.   Nothing better than traveling to El Paso and listening to the locals loudly mock your team after the 1st quarter.

Taggart got blown out by WKU in the Miami Beach Bowl lol. What was Taggart’s most impressive win? Did he beat FSU? No he got blown out both times while Leavitt sent Bowden into a retirement season..

you really don't need to defend Leavitt's legacy by tearing down Taggart

It is possible and a fact that they were both good for us

First part sure, but we were a defense first ball control team (almost as if one was an LB and the other a QB) the second one not so much

If someone offers a direct comparison you do in fact need to point out the exact differences between the two.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
