The name of the thread you are commenting in is called "Jim Leavitt", then someone felt the need to say but ya he never won a conference championship and lost to a pretty great Oregon team in a bowl game what about the one guy that had one good season in his life, has never won a bowl game and quite obviously never won a conference championship while beating absolutely no one of consequence, he was better right? I hope that helps, if not I can explain it further to you.

you are arguing against yourself. The fact you give Taggart no credit for what he did here is the same as someone not giving leavitt any credit for what he did here.

Both of you are wrong.

BTW the title isn't "who was the better coach for USF Leavitt or Taggart"

someone was giving their opinion on  Leavitt. That is the title of the thread afterall.

You refuting that opinion by comparing him to Taggart is foolish

That is the most intellectually dishonest part of this whole anti-Willie ******** and it's what makes the Team Leavitt gang sound like ******* fools when they use it ....

If other people can be insanely hyperbolic there is no reason I can not exaggerate by 1/2 a season spread over 13 years, Willie recruited a great class and unlike CJS pivoted from the only thing he ever knew for that I will be eternally grateful but I knew CJL and CWT sir was no CJL.

These conversations always remind me of this movie ....... Of course, Mork did catch the ball so maybe CJL would work out.

it's ok to think Leavitt was the best in our history while also thinking Taggart was good for us as well. It's not mutually exclusive.

really??

I see people bashing Taggart constantly on here. Saying he was no good here because he didn't win a bowl or have a winning record.

Complaining he took another higher paying job, etc.

It is possible to believe Leavitt was the greatest in our history while also believing Taggart did a very good job here in turning us around.

I am arguing against hightechbullthat you want to enter the conversation at the end while not following the ongoing conversation and cannot even be bothered by my pretty amazing summary is not really my problem but I am willing to continue to help you if you can at least point me in the direction of which part is so very difficult for you.
