Gruden's issue would **** him with recruiting while Simmons seems to be recruiting just fine now in the state of Florida. That's a big deal and why Simmons is a candidate and Gruden isn't.

But the Chiefs OC has been passed up now for HC jobs a few times because of domestic violence charges 30 years ago. A domestic violence charge 10 years ago is definitely enough to rule out Simmons

Was Simmons found guilty? Can't find anything. Being charged and being found guilty are totally different things. But yeah, don't think VPMK would be fully on board bringing in someone with that much baggage, if so.

Was he CONVICTED. In this country it's innocent until proven guilty.

That is no longer true, it is the court of public opinion and for that it is a hard pass on Willie.

I guess this is the way the people wanted it.  I think we have to re-learn a lot of lessons of the coming decades.  It's going to be brutal.

I don’t like it anymore than anyone else however we live in this cancel, safe space, easily offended culture.  We are not going to learn anything, simply adapt to this fluid situation and find a way to win despite the obstacles. I am officially an old man complaining about the younger generations 😀.
