Scott gives me major Charlie Strong vibes

-amazing G5 coach with a great QB

-leaves that great QB to go to a P5 job and never even musters a winning record

If we're going retread go for Herman or Dan Mullen. They both have sustained success across multiple jobs at multiple levels. Scott Frost would be a disaster

They went to the playoffs last year....is that not enough success?

My vote would go to Mullen in this scenario.  On top of the sustained success, he has experience in recruiting Florida.

The student-athlete tutoring services and grade surveillance has greatly improved throughout the last couple of decades. I’d like think it wouldn’t get to that level here. You’ll still have the occasional knuckleheads that will get caught cheating here or there but can’t see us becoming so academically apathetic.

I kind of thought that was the case here but, assuming he gets to the interview stage, he may be questioned a bit on the APR and those over 2 dozen players ruled ineligible for their UNC game.

Sorry, Riz, any list with Frost on it is for entertainment purposes only ........ more so than any other list.

no more coordinators without head coaching experience

hire a guy that won championships at a lower lever

herman would be a good choice

as a side note the dabo coaching tree isnt looking so good

No one is talking about Matt Rhule. It baffles me.

Herman is fine but he INHERITED an 8 win, stacked Houston team, and then did OK in Texas. Again stacked with resources. It's so different from where we are and there's no evidence HE turned those program around.

Rhule INHERITED, much like he would here, bad teams and made them winners. He oversaw facilities improvements at Baylor. He was won at our level (Temple) and again in the B12.

For those saying he doesn't have recruiting ties to Florida, enough with this theoretical advantage. He had no Texas ties yet crushed it at Baylor. I'm tired of this "Florida ties" criteria because there's just no evidence it's helping. Frost had no "ties to Florida" before he won at UCF. I don't care if you were born in Space. Can you turn this program around?

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
