I'm not sold on the idea of Gruden the college football head coach anyway, so it's whatever.

What's the track record on coaches that coached in the NFL forever randomly coming back to college to have to recruit and deal with all that?  Seems like a whole different world.

Gruden as HC, with Leavitt as DC.  Can you imagine the faces being made on the sidelines?

Jay Gruden as OC?

Leavitt's baggage is far better than Gruden's.

I wonder if anyone would even remember the Leavitt "baggage" outside of our bubble.

Don't worry, as long as Brett McTurdy is alive, he'll be there to remind people.

Yeah, I have a hard time really calling that "baggage" too but you're right, the BM will be all over it ...

If we get CO-OCs, then we need both of them to form one whole:

You missed this?

Tim Brown defended Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden and said he has heard him use 'rubber lips' in the past when talking about people lying

Wasn't racist in the least...

All due respect to Tim Brown, but I'm just not sure this guy is safe to hire. People absolutely deserve second chances; there just would have to be a LOT of forgiveness from a LOT of communities if USF brings him in.

In emails detailed by The New York Times, Raiders Coach Jon Gruden casually used misogynistic and homophobic language to disparage people.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
