Going over top 5 candidates

These guys just said on their radio show that Gruden is #1 and boosters are willing to fork over the $$$ - my initial reaction to this 🤮  For the love of God please don’t hire Jon Gruden

Next on the list is Willie Simmons at FAMU, followed by OC at App state and DC at Troy with Frost at #5

Of all these, Willie Simmons would be my choice

That is the most ******* unappealing list of top 5 I can imagine. Hope these clowns don't have a clue ...

If Gruden's baggage can even be considered this day in age, NO one can tell me that Leavitt is untouchable because of his "baggage".

By the way, not sure why this thread is still going. Only 1 answer, bring Jim Leavitt home.

They're all kind of intriguing in a way but I don't see any of them pushing any needles, in a positive way, to the bulk of rational Bulls fans ...

Stopped reading here:

When Tom Herman took over for Charlie Strong, the program was at an all-time low. The Longhorns were coming off their third straight seven-loss season and a loss to Kansas. To credit Herman, he built the program back up to having a consistent winning record.

If he's willing to tackle this, go get him ...

Can you imagine Gruden trying to recruit high school kids? 😂  We would be living off the transfer portal.  He has no patience to develop talent.  He just wants established experienced players that can run spider Y 2 banana.   Please USF don’t do this.

We wasted a year and more money because he was extended instead of let go after last season. Now onto the next guy who has to dig usf further out of the trenches of fbs football.

At the time, two years wasn't enough.  To be fair, he was hired very late in the recruiting cycle his first season and basically grabbed whatever he could to fill up the roster.  Next season COVID happened where several games, they almost didn't have enough to field a full team and the this season was full of freak injuries, broken hands, ankles, fingers.  This, combined with on the job training was not a recipe for success.  Not sticking up for the guy, but those are facts.  In the end, the results of the Temple game showed the team was not getting better and he needed to go.  The donor buzz in Kelly's ear to fire him was too loud to ignore.  I think if we'd beaten Temple and been semi-competitive the rest of the season, it would have been a different coaching outcome.

This is stupid rhetoric. He wasn't getting fired after year # 2 just like Chuck wasn't  ..... move on.

This is why I say don't richard around with this. IMO, if the reports are correct, there should be discussions going on today with a couple of them.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
