Strong was a defensive coach. That’s what people remember him as. It wasn’t Teddy that I remember about his teams. It was the defense I remembered. His first two years they were highly ranked and his final year they were #2 for total yards per game. 
 

Edit - What happened at Texas changed him. That wasn’t the environment for him or most to succeed.
