Wasn't there also a meeting with the Baylor coach at one point?  The mind isn't what it once was but that seems stuck in there somewhere.

You are correct, they actually came out to Waco and met and observed their practices.

And **** Tomey too, I thought.  It seems we did everything possible to block his failure - and then he was gone, just like that...

disagree. I think we have plenty of talent at skill positions. battie, weaver, horn, etc

you don't need NFL talent to compete in the AAC

Taggart was smart enough to know what he was doing wasn't working. He even gave up on a NFL QB in order to turn things around.

He retooled the entire offense with help from his high school coach who happened to consult with Tom Osbourne back in the 90's and Malzahn when he was at Auburn. pretty smart use of his resources.

Maybe our current coach find  and call  the high schoil coach  to bring back the gulf coast offense or really offense that scores consistently.

Offense isn't the biggest of our worries.

When you have an offensive coach that scores 3 points against Louisville and 7 points  the first half against ecu that is a major concern. At least give us some entertainment and keep the defense off the field.

True but the defense is worse by far.

No argument there but they played their best game when they were on the field least the UF game. The offense is fluttering and Jeff Scott is an offensive coach that was deemed an elite offensive mind.

This. In all honesty, this is why Strong drove us crazy in QFs senior year. Q could run an offense to score fast, but Strong wanted to slow things down so that his defense wasn't exposed. Defensive coach wanted to protect the defense. I don't know what CJS is doing, but our defense is weaker than the offense (which is saying a lot), and the offense needs to play ball control a little bit to at the very least keep them as fresh as possible.

Both the offense and defense have gotten weaker overall in the last 3 years. Including  the last half of Strongs tenure.

There is also a Twitter fan battle happening right now. Two factions, two different takes on being a USF fan.

So which side gets all of the so called "blue checkmarks" and can say or do what they want no matter how egregious and which side gets permanently banned for saying something which may seem well short of being loutish but defies the preferred narrative?
