Maybe these players know more than you do?  Maybe they have loyalty and teamwork as first priority.  Much like Ajou Ajou indicated, maybe they believe good things are coming.

They could i do not know. I said i would think... It is hard to believe in anything good is coming based off the results the last two years, not being prepared to play from start in almost every game in year 3, and getting blown out this year while losing the game before halftime in year 3.

Think and doing it are two different things. I will believe it when I see it.

Think the WT situation was that he had the skill guys at his house and DJ told coach to let QF do QF.  That's the short version but WT listened.

WT also hired a high school coach that year and they probably were working on resetting the offense, don't think it all came together at once. I don't think WT was a good coach, but he at least recognized when he needed help, and, he could recruit.

My guess is that he was told he needed help more than he realized he did

That's true. It's kind of crazy the run we went on after all of us (me included) were ready to can CWT. I guess some would say it's a reason to not give up on Scott, but I think back then, some of the frustration was that we could see the flashes of talent on the field and he was mismanaging it to the point of failure. I honestly felt like Mack was an NFL RB from his first game. It was against a bad team, but more than the speed, etc, you could tell the kid had elite vision. I don't see this team being able to turn it around without a few good recruiting cycles/transfers.

disagree. I think we have plenty of talent at skill positions. battie, weaver, horn, etc

you don't need NFL talent to compete in the AAC

Taggart was smart enough to know what he was doing wasn't working. He even gave up on a NFL QB in order to turn things around.

He retooled the entire offense with help from his high school coach who happened to consult with Tom Osbourne back in the 90's and Malzahn when he was at Auburn. pretty smart use of his resources.

Wasn't there also a meeting with the Baylor coach at one point?  The mind isn't what it once was but that seems stuck in there somewhere.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
