I don’t, money is better spent on players than anything else as it isn’t guaranteed long term and can be diversified to a greater degree so as not to require one single hire to be a home run. CJS ‘ failure and CCS’ failure was largely attributed to talent levels, you know who is an excellent recruiter? Money.

Talent without coaching is also useless.

If we are going to be in hell either way I’d prefer to be as successful there as possible since failing there isn’t going somehow make it not hell. This is the new reality and we should navigate it accordingly so as to be in the more desirable region, I’m going for a place with a nice view on a lake of fire. (Also I don’t think it’s actually hell, it’s the great equalizer just as long as we don’t continue to accrue worthless expenses that provide no tangible results or benefits).

Nothing will ever move forward if we don’t fix what was done in the past……

We are in the aac, which is only getting weaker. Out talenting the competition is way more likely to produce positive results than tossing money at a coach that is more like buying a scratch off to solve your money problems. Bill Belichick with aac talent isn’t going to beat CJS with SEC talent more times out of 10 than the reverse. One of the greatest determining factors of college coaching success is recruiting, we can unilaterally solve that component.

UTSA & UAB would & will run circles around USF right now and next season

Perhaps, now what happens to those odds if we spend $10 million on mercenaries? How about $20 million?

Not a **** thing to be honest. There has never been a positive direction in this program ever since the architect was kicked. A long dose of karma is what we can expect to keep seeing…

I see your argument and raise you a CWT, who had two successful seasons in an entire career which happened to coincide with when he had more talent than everyone else, otherwise he is an awful coach with an embarrassing record about to be fired from FAU. CSH, started off just fine with his more talented CjL squad then amazingly couldn’t coach to save his life which sounds eerily similar to ccs’ time here. Cut out the middle man bring in the talent and reap results.

And who does the recruiting?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
